Vertical Mastery Troubleshooting Guide
If you are having troubles installing your Vertical Mastery software you have come to the right place. There are a couple of known glitches that occur from time to time. Fortunately, they are all pretty easy to fix. Below is a step by step guide to solving any problems you may have had.ISSUE 1: When I enter my activation code, or email address, or password it just shuts itself down. What is going on?
SOLUTION: There are 3 possible scenarios here. 1, and this is the most common, you have entered the activation code incorrectly. Please double check that it is entered correctly. The second most common problem is caused when you have to reinstall or reactivate the software for example after a computer crash. Often people will have forgotten their password. This is easy fixed. Just email us and we will arrange to reset your password.
The third and final cause of the activation process shutting down or not working is that your firewall settings are preventing Vertical Mastery from accessing the internet. When this occurs Vertical MAstery cannot verify that you are the registered user of the software. If you need to fix this go into your Control Panel and adjust your Firewall settings to allow internet access.
ISSUE 2: I have double clicked the setup.exe file and I get a pop up box saying I have a missing MSI file. For example the error message says:
Windows cannot open this file as it is missing the following file C:\Users\Jack\AppData\Local\Temp\{DBA03E5Mastery.msi
SOLUTION: This is a very easy one to fix. Just go to the file location shown in the error message and the Mastery.mis file is there. So for the example above go to C:\Users\Jack\AppData|Local\Temp\{DBA03E and in that folder double click on the Mastery.msi file. This will launch the Vertical Mastery installer.
ISSUE 3:When I enter my test results and click build program the weights prescribed seem extremely large and don't make sense. What is going on?
SOLUTION: This problem occurs mostly for people located in Europe and is another very easy one to fix. The solution is to do the following:
1. Go to Control Panel
2. Select the Region and Language link
3. In the Formats tab select the format (or region depending on what version of Windows you are running) from the drop down box and change it to Englsh (Australia).
4. Click Apply
5. Click OK
6. Re-open Vertical Mastery it should work ok now.
A couple of points to look out for here and that is some people have been opening the Languages tab and changing that to English (Australia). This doesn't work.
ISSUE 4: I can't view all the boxes to enter my test results into?
SOLUTION: This is to do with your DPI settings on your monitor. Often people with older monitors such as the CRT type moniters have different settings that can impact the way the software appears on screen. Go into Control Panel, click the Display option and adjusting your settings in there.
